Whether you are designing your own raw edge pattern or using a purchased pattern, fabric choice is critical to loving the result. I have found in my own design journey there are times when fabric choice is a struggle, and quite frankly, will prevent me from starting that project. At best, it will delay it.
The value of ruler quilting…rulers are a very personal thing. There are times in my life, when the quilt in front of me really needs some straight lines, or clam shells, or curves that I feel I can’t “hit” without a guide. For those of us who are perfectionists, a ruler can really help us
